KidSight Outreach Stories and Photos
For over two decades our staff and volunteers have worked with experts in the fields of ophthalmology and visual science to develop and expand our KidSight Outreach vision screening program. In our more than two decades of service, our program has seen numerous changes in vision screening technology, and we have adapted to these changes whenever they occur. Over the years, we have improved our record-keeping methods and follow-up procedures to make our program more efficient and productive in our goal of ensuring that children referred by our program receive the treatment needed.

Since the founding of Tennessee Lions Charities in 1995, our KidSight Outreach vision screening program has provided free vision screenings to over 690,000 children. More than 40,000 children have been referred for further examination and treatment. Without our dedicated screening volunteers, these children would have started their educational journeys with a vision problem going unnoticed.
We have gathered photos and stories from our KidSight Outreach screening volunteers and the parents of children who have benefited by our KidSight Outreach vision screening program.
